Constructed of who we are and our inherent purpose, home is a place that we make for ourselves — both tangibly and externally, but especially, personally and from within.
01 / why home
Beyond its physical attributes of structure, protection and warmth lie deeper, more personal and nuanced notions of home —notions of nostalgia and personal sentiment, of comfort and familiarity, of safety and belonging — all of which hold powerful potential to enrich our lives and add more meaning and beauty to our everyday.
We see home as an intimate invitation. A welcoming for each of us to seek and define more opportunities in our lives that elicit the same qualities of a cozy dwelling. At their core, we believe these to be the parts and pieces that embody our unique and authentic selves. And so, we advocate loudly and proudly for a deeper connection to all of them. And therein: a deeper connection to more home.
Because to live a life with more home, means to live a more mindful, fulfilled, and beautiful life.
And is that not the ultimate intention for us all?
02 / our home story
My first home in Padew, Poland mid-construction by my grandfather, 1964
We share our home story with the belief that our retelling of who we are will inspire others to find deeper meaning, appreciation and beauty for all that they are.
Our name, domka, is a derivative of the word house in Polish. Our origins lie rooted in our first dwelling, in our immigrant upbringing, in our unique cultural memories of togetherness with family, in our multi-faceted background as architects, artists, creatives, inquisitives, travelers, and soul-searchers.
The prospect of more people celebrating their stories and sharing them with the collective drives our purpose and commits us to the creative work that we do. We recognize our gifts for discovering beauty where it may often go overlooked, in finding meaning in the mundane, and then: translating that beauty and meaning into something tangible and intentional. Whether that be a digital brand identity, a collection of thoughtful writing prompts, or a physical piece of abstract art. Whatever the medium, we live fueled by the ever-expansive opportunities to unearth more artistry in our everyday. Our studio is our vehicle (and dear home, appropriately) for which we are able to share these creative moments with the collective at large.
We thank you for visiting. We welcome you back any time.
03 / who we are
We’re a team of multi-passionate creatives and ever-curious souls inspired by, and in constant pursuit of deeper connection to, home.
Our studio is our creative container for digital and tangible makers destined to live life doing more than just one thing. We celebrate artistic expression across multiple mediums, from graphic design and website development to mixed media collage, stationery and written word. Collaborative and curious at our core, we are in constant pursuit of seeking, understanding, and extracting more meaning and beauty in our everyday — all while supporting other heart-centered humans along their personal creative journeys.

FOUNDER’S STORY
During my Master's of Architecture thesis year, I became fascinated with exploring the meaning of home in our lives. I connected with my personal home story of my immigrant upbringing in Poland and questioned how certain tactile qualities — such as light, texture, material, scale, and weight — can greatly influence our associations and perceptions of dwelling. studio domka was born from the desire to explore the translation of my cultural roots and these architectural elements into my work as a designer, creative and artist. It is named after my first home, where my creative spirit was born.
